There are mornings when you yell before school and send your kids off in tears. Evenings when you replay every word, wishing you could take one (or five) of them back.
Tough talks about rules, safety, or values that leave you anxious and unsure how they’ll respond. You love your kids deeply but connection doesn’t always come easy.
Even with all the books, podcasts, and best intentions, parenting stretches us in ways we never expected.
I’m Britney . A mom, mental health professional, and founder of Brevity. You’ll usually find me with coffee in one hand and a book in the other, chasing honest conversations and the kind of connection that outlasts chaos.
Some of my hardest days as a mom shaped why I’m here. But I’ve also experienced meaningful moments, the conversations that led to grace, laughter, and deeper bonds with my kids. Those small, everyday moments made all the difference.
Britney
From my work in mental health with a Master’s degree in counseling, and my experience as a mom, I know this: most of us were never taught how to calm the storm, repair after mistakes, or find the words that help us truly connect.
That’s why I created Brevity. To be a space to share scripts, routines, and practical tools for building calm, confidence, and connection in everyday life.
THE little MOMENTS OF connection WE BUILD EVERY DAY MATTER.
They create the trust we need for the big ones. When you have tools that help you stay calm and communicate clearly, the hard moments don’t feel overwhelming. You start to see your child not as a problem to fix, but a person to know and that shift changes EVERYTHING.
